Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

Hi Guys,

So… something pretty amazing happened this week! I got a call, like I do everyday with updates on what’s going on in my crazy world of work, but this call was extra special to me! It went a little something like this. ‘So, we had a call from Wolverhampton Grand Theatre; and they would like to name a chair after you’. I know this will sound a little bit of a jokey request to some, but to me this is one of the biggest honours, highlights of my career so far!

I was over the moon and of course after saying WHAT!! I said AMAZING – YES PLEASE!!

As so many of you know, singing & making my own music is my passion, my true love, but acting is something I have always dreamt of doing, something I have always wanted to explore at some stage in my career. That dream has come true for me; now into my second musical theatre show, first The Bodyguard and now Sister Act; well sometimes I just have to pinch myself to make sure this is really happening! And now, to top it off a theatre have presented me, Alexandra Burke… with a seat plaque in an 123 year old Auditorium, in one of my favourite venues in the UK, to celebrate over 24,000 people who have come and enjoyed what they state, as two of the most successful touring Musical Theatre productions in the Grand Theatre History! I just cannot believe it, I am truly touched and cannot thank everyone involved in making this decision enough! Thank you, thank you and thank you.

Peace and Love,

A very happy AB xxx
